How to Exclude Brand Keywords from Performance Max Campaigns

Step 1: Create a Brand List

1️⃣ Go to Tools and Settings (or Tools in the new Google Ads interface).

2️⃣ Under Shared Library, select Brand Lists.

3️⃣ Click Create a Brand List and choose your brand.

4️⃣ If your brand isn’t listed, click + Request a Brand, then fill out the form to have it added.

Step 2: Exclude Your Brand from Performance Max

1️⃣ Open your Performance Max campaign.

2️⃣ Go to Settings.

3️⃣ Click Additional settings.

4️⃣ Find Brand Exclusions.

5️⃣ Select your Brand List and save the changes.
